The Stonehenge Theories...

Stonehenge is a very old monument that we do not know so much about. Historians, archeologists and scientists all predict and look for theories that best fit the meaning of Stonehenge. The three theories that caught my eye while I was reading are these.

Stonehenge is a spiritual place-
One of the theories is that Stonehenge is a spiritual place for ancient people. They would go there to bury important leaders or people who are remembered from the past. They would also go there to say their prayers or wish for something and then expect it to come true. It could be that they thought that it was a place where god could hear your prayers, and maybe it really was.

Stonehenge is a calendar for ancient people-
Another theory is that the Stonehenge was built as a calendar. In the ancient times people didn't have calendars and maybe that was one of the first ideas of what know is a calendar. It could have been a  calendar since the Stonehenge is built so when once a year the day is as long as the night and then the sun comes up you can see it in between the stones, which could help them predict the time.
